MOBILEPD JOINS THE INAUGURAL SAN FRANCISCO ENTREPRENEURSHIP-IN-RESIDENCE PROGRAM ANNOUNCED BY MAYOR EDWIN M. LEE

MobilePD Was Selected By The San Francisco Police Department to Collaborate on the Next Generation of Public Safety and Civic Engagement Software Tools.

San Francisco, CA - March 18, 2014 - Mayor Edwin M. Lee has announced that the City of San Francisco has selected MobilePD to be in the first cohort of the “Entrepreneurship-in-Residence” program, a sixteen-week collaboration that will pair MobilePD with the San Francisco Police Department to explore new innovative public safety software solutions.

“We are honored and excited to be selected to participate in such a prestigious program,” said Kushyar Kasraie, Co-Founder and CEO of MobilePD. “Working directly with the San Francisco Police Department is a huge opportunity for MobilePD, It’s not every day that a startup can collaborate so closely with government, and work together to create the next generation of law enforcement technology.”

Nearly 200 startups from 25 cities and countries around the world applied to the program. MobilePD was selected after a several month long competitive evaluation process. The program will run through late July 2014.

MobilePD is developing the next generation of law enforcement software that will lead to engaged citizens, increased prevention and prosecution of crimes, and enhancement of public safety.
